Senate Bill 47 was signed into law by the Governor on December 17th 2009.

A new "Section 484" was added to the Public Welfare Code (P.L. 31, NO.21).

"... It shall be unlawful for individuals to purchase liquor or alcohol with ... debit card issued to convey support payment monies."

"... This act shall take effect immediately" (12/17/09)

Note:  It will be up to PLCB to determine how this will be administered.
